Pigmentation of the skin results from sun exposure and the aging process. This type of pigmentation is successfully improved with a course of IPL Laser. At Dublin Vitality Centre, we use the advanced medical grade Lynton laser system. Consider a course of 6 treatments of IPL laser for the removal of pigmentation.
IPL laser Photo Facial rejuvenation is one of the most effective treatments for the removal of pigmentation caused by sun exposure . Very often this is offered in combination with light peels or microdermabrasion facials to greatly improve the overall texture of the skin and to create a youthful dermis without excessive downtime. A patch test is necessary for laser and a full skin consultation will be given on booking.
Melasma is an acquired increased pigmentation of the skin, characterized by grey–brown symmetrical patches, mostly on the areas of the face exposed to the sun, but occasionally on the neck and forearms. It occurs most commonly during pregnancy and is distinguishable by its symmetrical pattern. None of the above treatments are suitable for pigmentation as a result of melasma. Melasma is a hormonal condition. The liver is indicated in this condition and therefore the condition should be treated at source by cleansing the liver with a course of liver coffee enemas combined with light peels and infusion treatments. We do not provide IPL Laser to those with Melasma as it is not recommended.

Consider a treatment of microdermabrasion or skin peel in advance of your treatment of IPL laser. This will empower the skin to improve faster as a large amount of superficial pigmentation and upper dermal skin damaged tissue will be removed.
A series of skin peel treatments are usually needed to adequately fade the unwanted skin’s pigmentation. Chemical peels provide almost immediate results for treating age and offer a boost to the complexions vitality.
