Soft fibromas known as “blood spots” are easily removed by cauterisation with short-wave diathermy. These may appear as pale pink spots, whereas others may be red, brownish or even creamy white. The appearance is of a small, raised, soft, dark, blood spot. Consider 1 – 2 treatments of diathermy depending on the number of blood spots present. These can be treated on the face and body.
It is not possible to say what causes blood spots on the skin but some people are prone to them which could indicate that they may be hereditary.
